What Allen Park dumpster rentals haul
Allen Park is known for tidy, tree-lined streets of 1950s and 60s brick ranches and bungalows, so roof tear-offs, kitchen and bath remodels, and garage rebuilds are common. Older owners downsizing keeps estate and basement cleanouts steady, and the Fairlane Green retail area brings occasional commercial loads.

Allen Park jobs and the right size
The 30-day driveway limit matters for sizing. A roof tear-off or a garage cleanout is done in a weekend, and a 15 Yard or 20 Yard handles it. A long kitchen remodel that runs past a month should be planned with a swap instead of one dumpster sitting the whole time.
- Garage or attic cleanout: 15 Yard, $345.
- Roof tear-off on a 1950s ranch: 20 Yard, $395, up to about 25 squares.
- Estate cleanout as longtime owners move on: 20 Yard for most houses, 30 Yard with a full basement.
- Concrete, brick or a garage slab: the heavy-debris container, $499 for 3 days with 10 tons included.
What Allen Park trash pickup will not handle
Priority Waste collects in Allen Park, and bulk items have to be scheduled by phone before they go to the curb. That works for a couch. It does not work for a house's worth of furniture, carpet and drywall from a remodel. For those, a dumpster in the driveway is faster than scheduling pickup after pickup.
Some items carry a per-item disposal fee in our dumpsters too: mattresses, tires, appliances containing freon, large electronics. Tell us the count when you book and it goes on the quote.

Roofs and cleanouts here are 15 or 20 yard jobs. Long remodels should plan a swap to stay inside the 30-day limit.

Allen Park dumpster rental questions
How much is a dumpster rental in Allen Park?
$345 for a 15 yard, $395 for a 20 yard, $475 for a 30 yard and $599 for a 40 yard, each for one day with delivery, pickup and disposal tonnage included. Allen Park is inside our base zone, so there is no distance fee. Weight over the included tons is $75/ton off the scale ticket.
Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Allen Park?
Yes. Allen Park Code Section 38-62 requires a permit from the city building department for a dumpster, including one on your driveway, and the permit has to be displayed on the container. Get it before delivery day.
How long can a dumpster stay at an Allen Park house?
On a single-family lot, up to 30 days per six-month period on the driveway or yard, and 14 days per six months in the street (Section 38-58). A full dumpster has to be removed within 2 days, so call us when it is full.
Can the dumpster sit next to my neighbor's house?
Not within 10 feet of an abutting home in a single-family zone, unless that neighbor signs an authorization that is filed with your permit. Tell us about tight side lots when you book and we will plan the spot.
Allen Park requires a permit for any dumpster
Allen Park is stricter than its neighbors. Under Section 38-62 of the city code, a permit from the city building department is required for a dumpster, and the permit has to be displayed on the container. The fee is set by city council resolution. In Dearborn, a driveway dumpster needs nothing from the city. In Allen Park it does.
The rest of the ordinance shapes where the dumpster can sit and for how long:
- Time limits on a single-family lot: 30 days per six months on your driveway or yard, and 14 days per six months in the street (Section 38-58).
- The neighbor rule: in single-family zones, a dumpster cannot sit within 10 feet of the house next door unless that neighbor signs an authorization that is filed with the permit (Section 38-57).
- Street placement: directly in front of or beside your own address, within 18 inches of the curb, not blocking a neighbor's driveway or traffic, with barricades and reflectors at both ends and a flashing yellow light after sunset. Not allowed where street parking is prohibited.
- Once it is full, the dumpster has to go within 2 days (Section 38-59). Call us when it is full and we schedule the pickup.
- Only debris from your own address can go in it (Section 38-60).
Short version: the permit comes from the building department, the dumpster stays on your driveway, and the spot is planned so it is not tight against the neighbor's house. Most Allen Park driveways make that easy.
